For those who are heavy mobile internet users and still getting use to subscribe to unlimited monthly access, then you should think it over before you do.
The Department of Justice has warned Philippine telecommunications companies on "misleading" their customers and subscribers on unlimited mobile internet access. These unlimited 3G internet promos have been throttled down to 2G speeds once the consumer used a certain amount of data prescribed by the telco, as stated in their fair use policy. It seems that the Philippine justice system defines the FUP as a violation of the Consumer Act of 1992 which provides advanced protection against deceptive, unfair, and unconscionable sales acts and practices.
So, if you are a heavy mobile internet junkie and you want to know what's best for you, I would recommend you to subscribe to a consumable mobile data plan in order for you to enjoy your favorite mobile internet activities in their highest quality. But if you still want to go with the unlimited data plans, I do not mind. Just remember that this could be removed because of the Fair Use Policy. And that would be your biggest concern, depending on what you want to do with your smartphone and on the Web.
