Five Great Reasons Why I Hate GMA 7

Early this year, many Twitter followers call GMA 7 the worst television station in the Philippines because of the inconsistencies made in some of its news programs. This was one of the most talked-about trends on social media that kicked off 2014. Until now, there are many people who believe that GMA is still the worst television station in the country. It is unfortunate for the loyal followers of the said network who are reading this post that I am one of them. Seeing what is happening in the Philippine television industry through the years since the network wars began, I have finally came to realize that I hate GMA 7 more than what the Twitter followers said on their tweets.



I have hundreds of various reasons why I sparked my hatred over what is said to be the most-watched television station in Metro Manila. But in the spirit of fair play, I will give you only five entertaining reasons why you should hate and ignore watching the so-called Kapuso network.

1. The only reason why GMA 7 is the most-watched television station in the country is that it is being watched by the worst people in the Philippines. And that would be the poor people of Metro Manila, also known as The Squatters. Screw you, AGB Nielsen Philippines!!

2. The network's sleuth of daytime and primetime dramas are relatively and completely short, despite their growing success. What made these shows short is that GMA did not give importance to the word "term extension". This is a disappointing factor.

3. PACQUIAO --> SLAMDUNK --> V-LEAGUE --> GO THE DISTANCE : This is a symbolic representation of GMA's complete lack of a sports division. Its sports coverage is filled with delayed and commercial-infested telecasts of Pacquiao fights, Shakey's V-League whose coverage is in the wrong direction, and boring and disgusting local boxing matches featuring many of the country's worst-performing homegrown boxers.

4. GMA 7 is the home of the worst anime in Philippine television. Topping the list is Slam Dunk, the worst Japanese animation series in the history of Philippine television. It was actually the biggest mistake in Philippine television for the year 2014 as well when it was reaired last March 31. If you want to know what are the worst anime aired on Philippine free TV aside from this, you're gonna have to wait for the next few articles. No wonder these kinds of anime are watched by The Squatters.

5. It is a very simple reason. Everything that GMA has entered into becomes an epic failure just like its performance in the TV ratings.

Well, there you have it, my five great and inspiring reasons why you should hate GMA 7 like me. I hope that this will give you a touching lesson on how boring and irritated the network is after more than 60 years.
