TV5 will be hosting the New Year's Countdown party at the Quezon City Memorial Circle. It will be the first part of the network's new direction with the theme "No to Drama, Yes to Happy". Some of the biggest and brightest stars of the happy network will be there to join the celebration. I hope that during the party, TV5 will showcase its own brand of new programs for the new year. And I'm sure of it.
What about GMA 7? We all know that the Kapuso network has always been providing big celebrations at the start of the new year. I wish that it will be the same format as usual for the network, coming the night of December 31. But no matter what happens, it is time for Filipino viewers to change their viewing experience on New Year's Eve. For me, I am rooting for the happy network's first entertainment countdown for the new year because it shows that it is time for us to stop watching cheap programming and enjoy a new kind of viewing lifestyle.
After these countdown parties, the future beckons for both networks which trust Nielsen for their ratings data. But I assume that they will provide great programs suitable for our viewing lifestyle in the coming months of 2015. And that's a fact!!
