Unfortunately, nobody knew about it, but I am concerning about the fact that the Philippines has one of the slowest average internet speeds in the world today according to a recent survey. However, despite the concerns, many Filipinos are still relying on the Internet, whether it is fast or not in their terms, to meet friends and share what they want to share to the whole world wherever they go. In fact, the Philippines is one of the most active countries on one of the world's most popular social networking sites, Facebook.
I constantly admit that I have been using the Google Free Zone on an Internet-capable Nokia feature phone a few months ago using a Globe SIM. The Free Zone gave me the opportunity to browse the World Wide Web through Google Search on the latest happenings in the world of entertainment and technology and information on what I need to know. When I found out that Smart is providing free internet to its subscribers, I saw how telecommunications companies in the Philippines are trying their best to make the digital lifestyle of their customers a worthwhile experience. It is like free mobile internet has delivered what it needed to do and has become a profitable trend for today's generation of Filipinos in the digital age.
With these developments, Globe and Smart will continue to make the digital lifestyle of millions of Filipinos a trend that is worth dying for. But I do not mean they would die for free mobile internet. It is just like this would conquer the digital revolution and our way of life.
