The Robinsons Connection

Robinsons Place Lipa
Robinsons Place Lipa, with a gross area of approximately 65,000 square meters, is the 9th largest Robinsons mall in the Philippines and the second in Southern Luzon. (Photo Courtesy of alvinrexlucero.wordpress.com)
I remembered when I was in second year high school. I learned that a new shopping center named Robinsons Place Lipa has already opened in time for the Holiday season. I did not think that it will stand within the vicinity of not only the National Highway, but also of the Lipa City Proper where I live now. As I look inside the mall, I thought to myself, "Hey, this mall is not bad!! It looks classy and sophisticated to begin with." Since then, it has become my personal and favourite hangout through the years. You can say that like many others who made Robinsons Malls their hangout, I am also a Robinsons baby.

For more than ten years, I did not think that Robinsons Malls not only here in Lipa City, but also all over the country, would provide a world-class shopping experience to millions of Filipinos. I praised this chain of shopping centers not only because of its mall amenities and friendly customer service crew, but also of the great memories that the mall has created for me and my family, whether good or bad times. I've also made my own personal memories thanks to Robinsons Malls such as looking at the new stores that have come to the mall but gone after a few years, buying snacks at Robinsons Supermarket, trying on the latest gadgets, and most importantly watching many of their mall activities through the years, where most of them include mall shows featuring various showbiz personalities, music icons, and bands.

The best thing about Robinsons Malls is its customer service, all because of its Lingkod Pinoy Center where various government services are ready to serve mall-goers and those who want to process their documents for their government transactions. For me, one of the good things that happened here is the opening of its DFA Consular Office, where every morning during mall opening I can see hundreds of people lining up for their passports. It is also great to see many people attending mass at the mall every Sunday morning, whether it is at the Food Alley or at the Activity Area.

I would like to thank those who make Robinsons Malls a great success not only for me, but also for the people of Lipa City. I hope that it will continue to provide world-class shopping experience and great customer service to many Filipinos and serve as a standard for changing the commercial and social landscape of where their malls stand.
