The Best Nintendo 64 Emulator That I Know and Love

Project 64

In 2002, when I was a graduating student in grade school, I installed a Nintendo 64 video game emulator on my PC and named it "Super Nintendo 2002". I borrowed the emulator from my old friend after surprisingly saw someone playing Castlevania 64 on his PC. Although I do not really own a real N64 console from the start, the emulator that I installed and tested on the PC makes me realize that it is indeed one of the best video game consoles I've ever experienced. By the way, the said N64 emulator was actually Project 64, perhaps the best Nintendo 64 emulator I have known and loved through the years.

Before that, I would like to tell you why I love the Nintendo 64 gaming console since installing PJ64 (my own nickname of Project 64). Nintendo's first ever true 3D gaming system has held distinctions in its own right. It is not only the most powerful console of its time, but also the last gaming system in history to use game cartridges. It may not be as popular as the Sony PlayStation, but the console that I loved has some of the greatest games of all time such as Super Mario 64, Goldeneye 007, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Imagine your favorite Nintendo characters in 3D because of the N64. How interesting is that?

Now years after the N64 ended its production in 2002, there have been numerous video game emulators before Project 64 that are capable of emulating N64 games on PC. But they are nothing to the PJ64 when it comes to game compatibility. I think about 90% of the games released for the Nintendo 64 are compatible to play on the emulator, while the rest have serious in-game or graphical problems that make them either unplayable or playable but useless when playing. These include Dr. Mario 64, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, and Mario Tennis.

The Project 64 is the best video game emulator that I played on my PC aside from a GBA emulator. However, times have changed. And soon I will relive playing Nintendo 64 again, but this time on an Android smartphone. Why? This is because the world's most popular mobile operating system has the capability to emulate even 3D games such as those on the Sony PlayStation and the Sony PSP, regardless of its specifications. So if you want to play your favorite Nintendo classics in a three-dimensional world, then you should try this gaming emulator for instance and you should tell me everything about it.
