Two Sunday Magazine Shows are Ten Years Old

Two Sunday night magazine shows are now celebrating their 10th year anniversary in Philippine television, namely ABS-CBN's Rated K and Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho on GMA 7. These two shows have been featuring the best of both worlds through the years - from the latest in current affairs to personalities that are making trends, as well as the best of life such as food trips, beauty and wellness tips, places to travel, and more. But when it comes to features and relevance, these rival shows are different.

Rated K has been consistently dominating in its timeslot in the ratings game according to Kantar Media, while Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho has become the number one show every Sunday based on AGB Nielsen ratings. But what makes these two relevant through the years?

Well, for Rated K, there are two things that makes the show different from its rival program. First, it shows stories of inspiration from many outstanding people - from ordinary to not-so-ordinary, from celebrities and various personalities to those who have becoming rich in their own ways. Second, you cannot end the show without giving away new sandals to elementary students in different areas all over the country. This is the show's own public service offering that aims to share the joy of having new sandals to many barefooted children in the Philippines.

On the other hand, what makes Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho relevant is social media. Many features shown in each episode have become trending topics on social media both nationwide and worldwide. Because of them, the show has become a social media star until now.

I don't know about you, but these two magazine shows have their own following. Maybe we'll see after ten more years, these award-winning shows will become more bankable than ever on their own respective networks as long as they feature interesting stories that can make your Sunday night viewing habit worthwhile.
