Smartphone

Many Filipinos are now having their own smartphone, while there are thousands of them of different specifications and features available in cellphone shops all over the country. There is no doubt that smartphones are the perfect all-around gift for those who want to buy something for either themselves or their loved ones, even during the holiday season.

Many smartphone users would use their smartphone to connect to their friends on social media through mobile internet, aside from the usual calling and texting. But smartphones are consider as their own personal possession, and they do not want to lose what they spend some of their budget on. Furthermore, there are dangers lurking around your smartphone, whether you use it anywhere or you connect to the Internet. Here are some tips for you to keep your smartphone and your Internet connection on it intact and safe from any impending harm.

1. Protect your smartphone at all times, both physically and internally. There is a smartphone app which you can use to protect your phone from thieves. If your smartphone has any problem inside such as being infected by a virus, there are also apps which will help you protect your phone such as the mobile versions of your preferred PC anti-virus software like Avira.

2. Remove all unnecessary data from your smartphone if necessary. If your smartphone's memory is full, you need to delete any files that are not needed for you to try on your phone. It does not matter if these are consider your favorites. But it is for your own good, anyway.

3. Do not download torrents using your mobile data connection. If you are using a torrent application on your smartphone like uTorrent or Bittorrent, then you should understand that downloading torrents can cause your mobile data connection to slow down or consume too much. The only thing you need to do is to use WiFi to make downloading torrents your own comfort zone.

4. When you subscribe to a consumable mobile data connection, make sure you check how much data that you have consumed on your smartphone if you are using it to connect to the Internet. There are various smartphone apps available for you if you want to double check your remaining data allowance like My Data Manager. But if you are sticking to unlimited mobile internet, understand that this is covered by your preferred telco's fair use policy.

5. A smartphone is your own personal possession, and you do not want to make any dent on it whether big or small. I suggest that you buy a case and a screen protector to protect your smartphone from unexpected damages.

I hope these tips would help you to protect your phone and make it safe from any impending internal dangers in time for the holidays.
