Comparing the Two Anime Lineups of 2015

Before the new year starts, the Astig Authority block of GMA 7, the worst television station in the Philippines, and Hero TV, the anime cable channel operated by the number one television station in the country ABS-CBN, have respectively revealed their program lineup for 2015. Anime fans would be very excited for these two previews for the two networks are expected to have their strongest lineup for the new year. But, there is one problem that really put GMA 7 to impending doom.

Now before I tell you what I think about these two program lineups, let us watch the preview of GMA 7's Astig Authority animation block and the 2015 anime lineup of Hero TV.

Now regarding the problem with GMA 7's dominating morning animation block, it seems that the network has not yet learned its lesson about its overreliance on reruns on its popular animation programs. The return of the classic anime Time Quest is not helping the network in its continuing commitment to provide fresh and entertaining programs to the Filipino youth. In fact, some of the programs that are in the said lineup are not fresh at all. To make things worse, the morning block will once again kick off 2015 as the worst program block in Philippine television as it revealed the return of the biggest mistake in the history of Philippine television and the worst Japanese animation series aired on Philippine television of all time, Slam Dunk, to be slated to re-air again on January 5, 2015. This would be a very disappointing factor for anime fans.

But looking at the program lineup of Hero TV, it seems that anime fans will never be disappointed at the channel's newest offerings for 2015. It just goes to show that it is the true number one anime cable channel in the Philippines. By the way, it is celebrating its 10th year anniversary, and its new look seems very refreshing for me. For those who want to have more action from their favorite anime characters, you can expect great things from the channel as Hero reveals a partial but outstanding anime lineup such as Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S, Inazuma Eleven, Initial D: Fifth Stage, and Haikyu!, including new seasons of Love Life!, Fate Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya, and Hakuoki.

Comparing these two, I can say that Hero TV is once again the dominant one because of the great animation programs lining up. It would seem that GMA 7 needs to be taught another lesson about overreliance. Soon, many Filipino viewers will say this: WALANG KWENTA ANG GMA 7!! AYOKO NANG MANOOD NG MGA GANITONG PALABAS SA UMAGA!! NAKAKADISMAYA NAMAN!! And that is a fact!!
